This is one of my favorite birdhouses! As fall approached last year I saw all the leaves and seedlings coming down all over the yard and I thought, "Time to rake again." What a waste of so much land fill! Wait a minute, maybe there is something I could do with all this stuff. So I ripped off the leaf and what remained was just the stem and then I picked up (for several hours) the seed casings. And behold this is what came of it. I must say I only can make more of this item again in the fall, but what an awesome idea for recycling all those bags of yard waste! Even the toucan agrees!
